American singer-songwriter Julian Fernando Casablancas was born on August 23, 1978, in New York City. He rose to fame in the early 2000s as the lead vocalist of the band The Strokes.
Alongside his band's career, Julian Casablancas launched other projects. In 2009, he released his first solo album, titled Phrazes for the Young.
In 2013, he formed the band The Voidz. The following year, as Julian Casablancas + The Voidz, he released the album Tyranny. Shortening the name to The Voidz, the band released Virtue (2018) and Like All Before You (2024).
