Bleached is a Los Angeles band formed in 2010 by sisters Jennifer and Jessica “Jessie” Clavin, former members of the punk band Mika Miko. Their sound combines the energy of punk and garage rock with pop melodies, while also incorporating elements of noise pop and garage punk.
After releasing their first singles, the band made their album debut with Ride Your Heart (2013) on the Dead Oceans label. Their second album, Welcome the Worms (2016), further explored the blend of intense guitars and catchy choruses. The following year, the group released the EP Can You Deal?.
In 2019, Bleached released their third album, Don’t You Think You’ve Had Enough?. Produced by Shane Stoneback, the album expanded the band’s pop sensibilities and marked a new phase for the sisters, with songs influenced by their experiences with sobriety and reflections on relationships and personal changes. Standout tracks include “Hard to Kill,” “Kiss You Goodbye,” and “Shitty Ballet.”
In the following years, the band released the singles “Stupid Boys” (2020) and “Flip It” (2022), the latter produced by Dean Reid.
