Katy Perry recebeu nove indicações para os MTV Video Music Awards. A cantora americana concorre aos prêmios de Vídeo do Ano, Melhor Vídeo Pop e Melhor Vídeo de Artista Feminina.
Lady Gaga, que em 2010 foi indicada treze vezes, este ano tem apenas três indicações, para Melhor Vídeo ("Born This Way") e Melhor Coreografia e Melhor Direção Artística ("Judas").
Por sua vez, Kanye West e Adele chegarão à cerimônia dos Prêmios MTV, no final de agosto em Los Angeles, com cinco indicações cada.
Na categoria de Melhor Vídeo Rock, a vitória será disputada por Black Keys, Foo Fighters, Foster The People, Mumford & Sons e Cage The Elephant.
