Zachary Cole Smith released his band DIIV's fourth album, the critically acclaimed Frog in Boiling Water, in 2024. However, the start of 2025 wasn't the best for the American musician. His Altadena home was destroyed in the wildfires that hit the Los Angeles area in January, just as his wife, Dani, was six months pregnant with their second child.
In addition to his home, Zachary lost belongings, including musical equipment and his car.
After the misfortune, DIIV return with a new single. "Return of Youth" was written before his son was born. The video shows the destruction of Zachary's home.
