Michael Stipe performed the unreleased song “The Rest of Ever” for the first time during his appearance on CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
In addition to debuting the new song, the singer confirmed that he will release his first solo album by the end of 2026, fifteen years after the end of R. E. M..
